whoopies.

Ah, 7:30pm the girls are in bed & the baby is sleeping.

The big girls have been in their room for like an hour now, 

I can still hear them talking but they will be out soon.

I can't decide if I want to try to accomplish something or just sit, watch tv & fall asleep.

Just for fun, the other day I made some whoopie pies.

I was planning on making them for Easter but never got around to it so I just made a small batch, 

one for each of us to have.

They were just as yummy as they look.

Easter fun.

Easter has come & gone,

 we had such a great weekend with family & friends.

Lots of Easter egg hunts & too many sweets! 

This year we made all the rounds to the grandparent's houses..

I wanted a picture with my little cuties, 

I love theses, but wish I would have taken my sunglasses off ! 

I love watching the girls do their Easter egg hunt at my grandparent's house, 

that is where I did all my egg hunts growing up .

The girls also had fun playing in the "secret garden" in the back yard.

I just love this picture of the two of them..

Like I mentioned before, a good friend of mine took some Easter pictures of the girlies for me.

She had baby ducks & a baby bunny, the girls were in love.

I wish I could share every picture because I love them all, but here are just a few of my favorites..

6 weeks.

Violet is 6 weeks old. 

& just because this is what I do...

some sweet pictures of my little babe.

I love her little lips in this..

one of my best friends tells me she looks like me all the time & that is my favorite thing to hear.. 

& she really does look just like her mama :)

Easter eggs.

I have never dyed eggs with the girlies before so this was lots of fun for us today !

I took a couple pictures just for fun, but most of the time I was trying to prevent a huge mess.

It turned out to be a success !

The girls had fun & will have colored fingers for a week I'm sure.

The little egg holders didn't last long, using that only resulted in eggs rolling around the table.

Oh well, at least their clothes stayed clean!

They were so concentrated ..

We ate a couple, the girls want to hide & hunt the rest so that will be fun to do this weekend.

Last week I took the girls to my friend's house & she took pictures of the girlies with some adorable baby ducks & a bunny for Easter pics.

 I can't wait to share them !

Spring is here.

hello friends !

I hope everyone is enjoying the beginning of Spring.

I can't believe it is already almost Easter ! 

We have dresses ready, the bunny has the baskets filled ready to hide, & we are dying eggs tomorrow.

Of course I got some bunny ears for all of the girls ($1 at Target).

Violet had some fun trying hers on today.. she was in such a good mood smiling at me so I had to get my camera & snap a couple of her pretty smile ! 

She would only smile when I said "who's a happy bunny ?!" 

Maddie had her first soccer practice tonight, this is her first year doing it. 

My husband is one of the coaches for her team too.. I think he may have had more fun.

She did awesome for her first time, I was a little worried that she wouldn't want to do anything, 

but she did it all.

 I had to pull out my camera to document this cuteness. 

Josie, Violet & I sat on the side watching.. Josie really wanted to get in there to play too.  

She kept saying "I have to go tell daddy something" trying to get me to let her go.

my little ladies.

It's no secret I love taking pictures of my girlies.

I have been waiting to take this picture for about 10 months now.. 

 I had just found out I was pregnant,

when my sister-in-law emailed me a similar picture she saw on Pinterest.

It took a few tries because we had to make sure Violet was fast asleep to balance best, 

but with some help from daddy spotting them from the side, 

I was able to get the perfect picture I wanted,

yay!!

Ugh totally melts my heart.. 

I snapped a couple more of the big girls while we were waiting for Violet to doze off.

Maddie of course loving the camera with her baby blues ..

[I never enhance eye color.. that is all her, in person they are just as blue.]

& Josie gave me one good perfect shot of those big brown eyes..

& this is how we ended..

They do love wearing their dresses around too of course! 

Violet had her one month check up this past week, 

as you can tell from the picture above she is growing like a weed... or a butterball turkey?

She was a whopping 10lbs 5oz (in the 90th percentile!), 

which is very big for my babies. 

She is such a happy, healthy girl ! 

I can't believe it has been a month with three little girls.

It has been a quick month thats for sure. 

Some days I wake up & forget what day of the week it is,

 I'm lucky if I get a shower every other day, 

& getting everyone ready to go somewhere causes some chaos.

...but, you know,

"we're loving every minute of it" , "wouldn't change a thing"

any other cliche like that.

I love my little ladies :)

the little things..

A few months ago a friend/ co-worker David, from Studio 213 Films,

 came over & spent some time filming the girls.
 David puts together beautiful videos, I just knew this would be amazing,
but it is better than I could have ever asked for.

I love that he could capture all the little things about my big girls..

it's the little things that are my favorite

it's the little things I want to remember forever, but they fade so fast.

Even just since this was done in December they have changed so much.

This video is just a little glimpse into the world of Maddie & Josie
